Euro (U11-U12)

2019-20 Soccer Season: REGISTER HERE!

  • U11 Boys and Girls born in 2009
  • U12 Boys and Girls born in 2008

The Euro program consists of Boys and Girls at U11 and U12 age groups where we compete against teams from other soccer associations within Lower Island Soccer, playing both home and away games.

Assessment and Scheduling Information

  • Gold and Silver teams are formed at U11 and U12
  • First round of assessments takes place March 11-15, 2019:
    • U11 and U12 Girls – Monday and Wednesday from 6-7pm at Tyndall turf
    • U11 Boys – Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm at Tyndall turf
    • U12 Boys – Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8pm at Tyndall turf
  • Second round of assessments takes place late August / early September 2019 (schedule will be posted in July, 2019) with team formations finalized by the beginning of September.
  • First game of the season: September, 2019 (during last two weeks)
  • Winter break: mid-December to mid-January
  • Games are on Saturday mornings at either 8:30, 9:45 or 11:00 am
  • Practices at Lochside or Tyndall turf – will be posted once the practice schedule is set for the season.  Gold players commit to practice twice per week while Silver players commit to practice once per week with an optional second practice.
  • We understand that there will be times that players are absent for sickness, family commitments, schoolwork requirements and other sports but we strongly encourage players to commit to attending the required sessions.

Results of first round of Assessments – U11 Boys

  • All registered players should have received an email confirming placement in one of three groups: Gold (15 players), continued consideration for Gold (7 players), or Silver (12 players). 3 new players have not yet been assessed.  If you did not receive this email, please contact Brett Hyslop, Technical Director, at (worldcupsoccer@shaw.ca)
  • Currently we have 37 U11 Boys (born 2009) registered for the 2019-2020 season and will require an additional 5-9 players in order to meet our desired enrollment.  If registration goes as hoped, we are planning to offer two Gold and two Silver teams for our Boys program next season.

Results of first round of Assessments – U12 Boys

  • All registered players should have received an email confirming placement in one of three groups: Gold (9 players), continued consideration for Gold, or Silver (7 players). 1 new player has not yet been assessed.  If you did not receive this email, please contact Brett Hyslop, Technical Director, at (worldcupsoccer@shaw.ca)
  • Currently we have 23 U12 Boys (born 2009) registered for the 2019-2020 season and will require an additional 18-22 players in order to meet our desired enrollment.  If registration goes as hoped, we are planning to offer two Gold and two Silver teams for our Boys program next season.
